Fixed Routes

The Anoka County Traveler operates the following fixed routes throughout portions of Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, and Fridley. Traveler service also runs through Brooklyn Center, St. Anthony, New Brighton, and Roseville.

Connections can be made to all areas of Anoka County and to the metro area. No appointment is necessary, simply wait at any corner or bus stop along the designated route. Metro Transit has schedules and maps for the routes.

Route 801 (Monday through Friday) travels between the Rosedale Shopping Center and the Brooklyn Center Transit Hub during peak hours. Mid-day runs operate between the Rosedale Shopping Center and the Columbia Heights Transit Center. Silver Lake Village has service all day long.

Route 805 (Monday through Saturday) travels between downtown Anoka and Northtown Mall via Coon Rapids. Destinations along the route include the Anoka County Government Center, Riverdale Shopping Centers, (Target, Wal-Mart, Cub Foods, Rainbow Foods, Sears, Kohls, etc.) Woodland North Apartments, Winchester Place Apartments, Health Partners Clinic, Coon Rapids High School, Colonial Estates Apartments, University Avenue, Northdale Avenue, and Northtown Mall Transit Hub.

Route 811 (Monday through Friday) travels from the intersection of Round Lake Blvd. and Northdale Blvd. in the City of Coon Rapids to the Northstar Coon Rapids Station.  This route is a feeder service for the Northstar commuter rail.  Commuters bound for Minneapolis that live in neighborhoods along Round Lake Blvd., 38th Ave., 7th Ave., Main St., 9th Ave, 119th Ave., and Northdale Blvd. can use this convenient service to get to the station.

Route 831 (Monday through Friday) operates between Northtown Mall and 117th Avenue and Jefferson Street in Blaine. Destinations along the route include Northtwown Mall Transit Hub, University Avenue, Blaine Human Service Center, Polk Street, Cloverleaf Apartments, Blaine Manor Apartments, Oak Park Plaza, and Four Seasons Mobile Park.

Service Hours

The Traveler operates fixed routes from 6:08 a.m. to 8:03 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 6:48 p.m. on Saturdays.

Fare Information

* Rush hours: Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. -9:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m.

* Please have the exact fare. Drivers do not carry change.

Fixed Route Super Savers

Pay fares by inserting a 31-Day Pass or Stored Value Card in the fare box reader. Super Savers are accepted only on fixed routes.

Transfers - From Fixed Route to Dial-a-Ride

Pay the fixed route fare and request a paratransit transfer worth the fare amount. Then pay the difference to make up the complete Dial-a-Ride fare.

From Fixed Route to Fixed Route

Transfers are free. Ask the driver for a transfer when you pay the fare. Transfers are accepted on Traveler and Metro Transit buses and are valid for two and one half hours of unlimited rides on any route in any direction.

Fixed Route Reduced Fares

Please tell the driver before you pay for your fare if you qualify for a fare listed below:

Non Peak Hours

• Seniors - show a Minnesota driver's license/state ID with a T endorsement, Medicare card, Citizen's Council Victim Services card, or Railroad Retirement card.
• Youth - ages 6-12 qualify for a reduced fare.

All Day

• Persons with disabilities: show a Metro Mobility card or transfer, Metro Transit temporary ID card or Minnesota driver's license/state ID with an L endorsement. For more information on certification call 612-349-7415.
• Children ages 5 and under ride free (limit three) when accompanied by a paid fare.
• Young adults (student and workers) ages 13-17 may qualify for a discounted Young Adult card. Contact your school or employer.
