What we are doing: The project includes demolition of the existing bridge crossing Cedar Creek, immediately followed by the construction of a new bridge. In addition, construction crews will improve the bridge approaches in both directions.
How traffic is affected: During construction Gopher Drive (CSAH 26) will be closed in either direction. This closure will last the duration of the project, and a detour will be in place. All traffic should use detoured or alternate routes. The project is scheduled to last through October, weather permitting. DETOUR MAP (PDF)
Project Benefits: The new bridge will replace a deficient bridge, and will be constructed using concrete beams. This construction will improve the overall safety of the bridge as well as increase the load capacity allowing for heavy vehicles such as snow plows and school buses to cross.
