Orders for Protection

Orders for Protection (OFP) and Harassment Restraining Orders (HRO) are not ordered in a criminal proceeding.  OFP and HRO hearings take place in Family Court and are separate from divorce proceedings.  After the application process a judge determines whether and OFP or HRO should be granted.  Court filing fees may apply.  For assistance with an application, contact Anoka County Family Court at 763-422-7372.  Alexandra House can assist victims with applications for OFPs at 763-576-9999.
