Community Development

The Community Development Department, as part of the county’s Governmental Services Division, focuses on housing and community development needs to benefit low to moderate income residents.

Community Development works in conjunction with the county’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority (ACHRA).

The Community Development department's primary responsibilities are to administer the following programs in Anoka County:

• Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)
• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
• HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
• Fair Housing
