The Section 3 program requires that Anoka County and the agencies/companies that Anoka County provides certain HUD financial assistance to, to the greatest extent feasible, provide employment, training and contracting opportunities to low- or very low-income persons and to Section 3 business concerns in connection with the HUD assisted project.

If you are awarded a contract that is covered by Section 3 requirements, we will work closely with your company to be sure that the Section 3 goals and requirements will be met to the greatest extent feasible.
Being certified as a Section 3 business with Anoka County allows those businesses to take advantage of the business opportunities that are generated by certain types of HUD funding.
Certified businesses are included in a Section 3 directory that Anoka County provides to contractors and other entities. These certified businesses are also eligible to participate in various activities and trainings that may be sponsored by Anoka County.
To become certified as a Section 3 business, complete this application and return it with all required documentation.
