HOME Investment Partnerships

The HOME program affirms the federal government’s commitment to provideHabitat for Humanity constructing home decent, safe, and affordable housing to all Americans and to alleviate the problems of excessive rent burdens, homelessness, and deteriorating housing stock.

Anoka County uses HOME funds for such activities as tenant-based rental assistance, homebuyer assistance, property acquisition, new construction, and rehabilitation.

Projects receiving HOME funds must also incorporate other federal regulations including but not limited to Environmental Review, Relocation, Labor Standards, Lead-Based Paint and Conflict of Interest requirements. HOME funds can be awarded to a project as a grant or a loan and it requires a 25% match from non-federal funds.

Detailed information about the HOME program can be accessed by clicking on Program Manual.
